NEWTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Industrial Logistics Properties Trust (Nasdaq: ILPT) today announced
that John G. Murray has been appointed as Managing Trustee, President
and Chief Executive Officer of ILPT, effective December 1, 2018.
Mr. Murray joined The RMR Group (Nasdaq: RMR) in 1993 and has been a
member of its senior executive team since that time. Mr. Murray will
continue to serve as Executive Vice President of RMR and Managing
Trustee, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hospitality Properties
Trust (Nasdaq: HPT). Prior to joining RMR in 1993, Mr. Murray worked at
Fidelity Investments and Ernst & Young LLP.
Mr. Murray succeeds John C. Popeo, who is retiring and therefore
resigning from his positions with both ILPT and RMR, effective November
30, 2018. Mr. Popeo has been with ILPT since its founding earlier this
year, and he has been with RMR since 1997. To ensure a smooth
transition, Mr. Popeo will remain a non-executive employee of RMR until
his retirement on March 30, 2019.
